The last decade has seen a dramatic shift in the way companies manage information security and protect vital data. In the past, businesses confronted the threat of cyber attacks and data breaches primarily by building firewalls and other “perimeter defenses” around their networks, but the threat has continued to evolve, and more criminals are hacking into applications that are running on a plethora of new devices and environments, including cloud, mobile, and social media. Which begets the question: Is it still worthwhile investing in application security?

Let me put this way: if you have an antivirus on your computer you do have a degree of protection, but that doesn't mean that you are completely safe from hacking. So yes, security software is good, but you also need monitoring software to spot anything going the wrong way.

I think zoom is right.It's like monitoring analytic results without the best web analytics tools.I guess there are many people who know how to hack a computer and if you don't monitor the antivirus you are running on your system then you may have problems.
